This new doctors surgery is located on Greenfield Land, so has to respond with sensitivity to neighbouring properties.

Materials such as clay pantiles and timber cladding allow the building to be presented in a semi-agricultural form that re-inforces the area’s rural heritage.

Internally, areas in which people gather, such as waiting rooms and reception are given full height volumes. The more intimate rooms are cellular and compact, affording a more personal experience.

The waiting room and consulting rooms face south-east, in an elevation opened up with glazing. This gives transparency, views across fields and allows natural light to dominate.
