Tight restrictions on footprint and height were a challenge in creating this compact 3 bedroom chalet style dwelling designed to exploit distance views of St Catherine’s Hill.
A step in the rear elevation provides an afternoon patio area directly off the kitchen and allows light to penetrate into the living space.
Coloured zinc has been used as part of a subtle blend of high quality materials.
The house is thermally efficient being above Building Regulation Standards for thermal performance and has achieved a low air leakage of less than 4m3/m2.hr. There is also a large array of photovoltaics which are hidden on the flat roof.
